Becoming Boundaried Live Retreat Participant Agreement

What's included:

• 5 consecutive days of live time together in a retreat format, including but not limited to deep-diving teaching, training, coaching, experiential exercises, journaling exercises, art-based exercises, group discussions, community time during meals and breaks, and more.

• Dates and Times of Retreat: July 24th - July 28th, 2025 (begins at 9am on Thursday, July 24th and ends at 12pm on Monday, July 28th).
• Location of Retreat: Homer, Alaska
  
• All Lunches Provided
  

What’s not included:

Participants will be responsible for arranging their own travel and transportation to and from the retreat.  Participants will also be responsible for arranging their own lodging and meals (with the exception of lunch).

Payment Options

• Non-refundable deposit of $497 to be followed with a payment of $1500 that can be split into monthly payments.
• $1997 paid in full

Client Agreement:

By signing where indicated below, you irrevocably agree that if Boundaried Coaching LLC® (the “Company” or “we/us”) approves your application and accepts you as a participant of The Becoming Boundaried: The Retreat (aka, the “Retreat”), this agreement automatically becomes a binding contract between you and the Company, and applies to your participation in the Retreat. By signing below, you are acknowledging that you have read, agree to, and accept all of the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement. We reserve the right to amend this Agreement at any time by sending you a revised version at the email address you provided.

By completing the agreement and signing below, you authorize Boundaried Coaching LLC to charge your credit card, as indicated by your payment selection in the form provided, as payment for your participation in the Program. Upon signing, this contract is effective immediately, and your first payment is due upon signing.  

Refund Policy: Your $497 initial deposit is non-refundable.  However, if you need to cancel anytime prior to May 24, 2025 (2 months before the retreat begins), your payment will be returned to you in full, minus the non-refundable initial deposit of $497. If you choose to cancel between May 24th and June 23rd, 2025 (1 month before the retreat begins), 50% of your payment will be refunded, minus the non-refundable deposit.  There are no refunds offered after JJune 23rd, 2025.

We are committed to providing all Participants with a positive Retreat experience. By reading and signing below, you agree that the Company may, at its sole discretion, terminate this agreement, and limit, suspend or terminate your participation in the Retreat without refund if you become disruptive or difficult to work with or if you impair the participation of Retreat leaders, staff, or participants in the Retreat. 

We respect your privacy and must insist that you respect the privacy of other Retreat participants. By signing below, you (1) agree not to violate the publicity or privacy rights of any Program participants. You understand that our group sessions may not be recorded. We respect your confidential and proprietary information, ideas, plans and trade secrets (collectively “Confidential Information”) and must insist that you respect the same rights of fellow Retreat participants and of the Company. Violations will result in full dismissal without refund, at minimum. While we work hard to protect the privacy of all Retreat participants, and while each participant signs this form indicating that they will respect other retreat participants' confidentiality as a condition of their participation, your signature here indicates that (2) you also understand the limits of confidentiality in a small group setting, in that it cannot be fully guaranteed as per the nature of group limitations.

By signing below, you agree (3) to not infringe upon any Retreat participants or the Company’s copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or any other intellectual property rights, (4) that in any Confidential Information shared by Retreat participants or any representative of the Company is confidential and Proprietary, and belongs solely and exclusively to the Participant who discloses it or the Company, and (5) you agree not to disclose such information to any other person or use it any manner other than in discussion with other Program participants in the scope of the Program activities. 

By signing below, you indicate (6) that you fully understand that the Retreat is not able to provide you with counseling services. The retreat leaders and coaches, even if also employed elsewhere as mental health professionals, do NOT work for you as mental health professionals but rather as retreat facilitators, trainers, guides, and coaches only.  Your retreat leaders will not provide you with a mental health diagnosis or mental health treatment. By signing below, you (7) acknowledge that you understand this and that you have NO expectation of receiving mental health counseling or treatment from Boundaried Coaching LLC or this Retreat, as the focus of Boundaried Coaching and its program niche is specifically to educate adults in the development of healthy boundaries (inside and out), which includes personal growth and empowerment.

By signing below, you indicate that you understand some of the subject matter in the Retreat may be triggering or emotionally difficult at times for a variety of reasons(8). You understand that every personal relationship and context is different, and that attending the Retreat and/or engaging in healthier boundaries cannot guarantee a specific desired outcome. For example, while some relationships will respond very well to healthier boundaries, other relationships may come to an end.  Controlling other people's responses to a participant's healthier boundaries is beyond the scope of this Retreat.  Your signature indicates that (9) you have adequate coping skills for safely navigating any difficult or strong emotions that may arise for you during the course of this Retreat, the awareness that outcomes may differ from participant to participant and situation to situation, as well as affirm you have access to adequate local resources in your area following the Retreat (such as a counselor) should you find you need additional help managing any difficult feelings or realizations that may come up during the Retreat or following your participation.

By signing below, you (10) indicate that you understand that in the unlikely event that you experience any significant mental health challenges or a physical health crisis during the Retreat, we are unable to help you navigate such within the scope and boundaries of the educational-coaching relationship and Retreat format, and may pause or end your participation in the Retreat during that time, without refund, in order to best serve your safety and health needs. This means that in the event of a health crisis of any kind, you will be expected to seek and utilize medical resources in your area for appropriate care.  If you are unable to call for help (such as if you are unconscious), we will call an ambulance so that you can be transported to the nearest emergency room in order to receive needed care. 

By signing below, you understand that you will be responsible for any and all medical bills that may result from any health issues or challenges that may arise during your Retreat time, as you agree that your medical health and care is 100% your responsibility at all times (11). This includes waiving all responsibility from the Company for any health issues, injuries, or accidents that you might experience or that might occur due to participation in the retreat or any retreat-related events or activities (whether during, before, or after the Retreat).  This also including waiving any responsibility or liability from the owners of the retreat site (their private home), agreeing that they have no responsibility for any health issues, accidents, challenges that may occur or that you might experience at their location, on their property, or in or around their home(s) during our 5 day Retreat experience. This includes any health issues or challenges that may arise if you choose to participate in the optional community dinners or activities (such as, if you choose to participate on an optional hike), or if you choose to stay on site.  You understand that you are not require to participate in any outdoor activities, community dinners, optional yoga classes, or any other offered activities both in, during, or around the Retreat days.  When you choose to participate in retreat activities and any additional optional activities, you understand that you do so at your own risk and agree that you will be 100% responsible for any issues, accidents, injuries, or health challenges that may occur as a result of participating in those activities (12).

You understand that your coach(es) and many of the Retreat participants are mandated reporters, therefore any threat of significant harm to self or others will be reported either to the appropriate authorities.  You understand that we do not recommend new boundaries be set in any relationship with a history of violence, violent threats, or active violence and/or safety threats without first consulting with a domestic violence counselor and following their individualized safety advice. This may include working with the individual counselor to come up with an individualized safety plan, which is outside the scope of this Retreat.  Retreat participants are expected to remain 100% responsible for their safety needs for the duration of their Retreat experience and into the future. By signing this form, you also indicate that you are currently safe to participate in this Retreat and participation will not put you at risk of harm at home when you return (such as if you are currently in a domestically violent or unsafe relationship). Your signature on this form acknowledges that you agree to this and that you know how to access available safety-focused resources (such as domestic violence counselors, domestic violence shelters, 24/7 national hotlines, emergency services or legal authorities) in your area if/when safety is a concern. By signing below, you understand that individualized domestic violence counseling, individualized safety planning, context-specific safety advice, and/or assurance of your safety is beyond the scope or responsibility of this Retreat or its coaches (13).

By signing below, you further agree that (with the exception of information clearly attributed to other sources), all exclusive materials and exclusive information provided to you by Boundaried Coaching LLC are its confidential and proprietary intellectual property belonging solely and exclusively to the Company, and may only be used by you as authorized by the Company, and the reproduction, distribution and sale of these materials by anyone but the Company is strictly prohibited (14). You understand that the Retreat and/or its coaches may sometimes recommend or reference other professionals, programs, resources, and/or share openly available teaching material attributed to other sources. The Retreat appropriately credits any known outside sources when so doing, however you understand that (15) any referencing, recommending, and crediting by the Retreat or its coaches does not constitute the outside source's endorsement of the Program. Further, by signing below, you agree that (16), if you violate, or display any likelihood of violating any of your agreements contained in this paragraph the Company and/or the other Retreat participants will be entitled to injunctive relief to prohibit any such violations to protect against the harm of such violations. The laws applicable to this Agreement will be the laws of Alaska, USA, and the parties agree to “attorn” to the exclusive jurisdiction of Alaska Courts to finally adjudicate and determine any such dispute both before and after termination of this Agreement. 

We have made every effort to accurately represent the Retreat and its potential. While we are proud of our success rates, it is still a fact that each individual’s success depends on many factors, including willingness to do the work, get the necessary support, and a desire to succeed. By signing below, you acknowledge (17) that you assume 100% responsibility for your results. By signing below, you also acknowledge that (18) you have represented to the Company that payment of your Retreat fee will not place a significant financial burden on you or your family.
